We might all be tempted from time to time to get a quick lift for our site, after-all, isn't it human nature to want fast results? Unfortunately, the fast results might go away fast when Google finds out what you have done. Just like all things in life, quick movement and being on-top draws attention, both positive and negative. If your competitor watches you jump from the number 6 to number 1 spot in a matter of several days or weeks, you better believe that Google can and most likely will notice as along with your competitor. Now you have the attention of your competitor and Google which is most likely not a good thing. Your competitor can contact Google, and with little proof, possibly get you delisted. Google can flag your quick progress and begin scrutinizing your actions just waiting for a spam like mistake. Obviously purchasing paid links can indeed be risky business and deserves serious consideration in terms of the pros and cons. We wont lie and say you can't get caught, it's just that if you do, you're done for quite sometime. Proceed with caution.
